I really hadn't expected this. I was just visiting a photographer's gallery, as I ran into what turned out to be a big demonstration against the new constitution of Hungary, the new media laws and discrimination against minorities.
The whole "Andrassy Út" was full of people who do not accept the government's way to solve problems and to reign the country.
The demonstration itself was one of the most quiet ones I've ever seen. It was like on a funery; paradoxal because at least some of the human rights in this country are about to die.
The background is: The country's economic system is down and people have to be anxious of losing their jobs; whereas the Fidesz-Party gets more and more strength by putting people under the whip into charges of importance.
I was really surprised to see so many people on the streets of Budapest because I expected the Magyars to be more obedient and governable than undutiful, like in this case.
